League (A) v
Abbotskerswell – 20 May 2010
Abbotskerswell
batsmen attacked the bowling from the start and they ended with a
big total of 170 for 1. Seb picked up the only wicket to fall and
Giselle was the most economical bowler.
Stoke scored a very
creditable
111-5
in reply which would well have been enough against another side. The
key partnership was between Giselle and Seb which added 69 for the 5th
wicket. The early Abbots bowling was
particularly accurate and we did well to bat the full 20
overs.
In the middle of exams
this was a good battling performance and I would like to pass on my
thanks to everyone who stepped up to the mark to play, including Ed
Smith who made his debut. I would also like to thank Pete
Bamber
for umpiring and Sue and Richard for scoring.
